Edward Ernest Weise, Jr. Obituary of West Bend

Edward Ernest Weise, Jr., was born in Oak Park, IL, on September 7, 1931, to Edward E. and Mable Weise. He was raised by his Aunt Rose Weise after Mable’s untimely death. After high school, he joined the Air Force and served as a Nuclear Specialist in the Korean War. After being honorably discharged in 1955, he worked as a PBX Installer for the Bell Telephone Company. Ed met his future wife, Yvonne McWhiney, who worked as a secretary at a newspaper company. They married in 1957 and had six children. The telephone company later transferred Ed to Wisconsin, and the family moved to Fond du Lac and West Bend. He retired at 54 as an Engineer and enjoyed a life of traveling the US in an RV. Ed was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Dundee, WI. He was proud to be retired for 37 years while only working 30. Ed is survived by his six children, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Zoe. His wife Yvonne, his sister Shirley, and her husband Drew Carey preceded him in death.
